We are an international group of scholars, teachers, and others who provide a network and forum for the study of American author Kate Chopin. We encourage and support scholarship and activities that illuminate Chopin’s contribution to the American literary tradition, and we seek to preserve her literary significance for future generations.

We collect information about you when you use our contact us form to comment on our website or to ask questions—or when you use our become a member form to request membership in the society.

What information we collect and how it is used

We collect information to help us answer your questions and to understand what you want to know about Kate Chopin or her work. The table in “Details” below outlines exactly what information we collect and why.

Sensitive data

We do not gather sensitive personal data (like health, genetic, biometric data; racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, criminal convictions, etc.). Please do not send sensitive data to us.

Children’s information

KateChopin.org is not directed toward children. We do not request or collect information from or about children. We comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation.

Use of “cookies”
